About Ali Paterson

Ali qualified as an architect at UCL
and subsequently became Design Director for Regalian Properties plc where she was responsible for commissioning projects including a new apartment building in Kensington Palace Gardens and the MI6 building in Vauxhall.
Ali’s interest in the relationship between architecture and landscape let her career evolution as a garden designer graduating from the English Gardening School in 1995 with Distinction and Prize.

Ali enjoys the challenge of complex site constraints
external spatial design and the use of planting sculpturally. Creating a seamless transition from house to garden comes naturally to her experienced eye.
Her imaginative schemes aim to place her clients’ dreams in harmony between their life and landscape.
Giving expression to all is beautiful planting. Lighting and furniture are an important part of the cohesive whole.

Understanding each client’s individual brief
and exercising a meticulous attention to detail are paramount to the success of any project. Ali’s expertise covers city and roof gardens and listed country gardens.
One of her gardens created during her experience with Landscape Architects Randle Siddeley Associates won BALI National Landscape Award in 2007.
Based in London , Ali’s services range from a half day consultancy to full design and implementation.
